This lesson starts with raw fictional fashion-store data instead of a finished dashboard. WorkBuddy helps inspect the data, define metric rules, build formulas, add filters, create charts, and design a safe weekly append process.

The dashboard tracks target completion, sell-through, sell-through activity, gross margin, discount, unit price, average order value, and product and inventory distribution.

The dashboard workflow

Keep raw data, parameter lists, metric summaries, visualization, store comparison, and usage instructions in separate sheets. Append new weeks; never overwrite history.

Check every denominator, use formulas instead of fixed values, and finish with formula-error scanning plus a manual sample against the source data.

Read the raw weekly sales and inventory workbook without building the final dashboard. Inspect sheets, fields, record counts, naming differences, nulls, duplicate store/SKU/week rows, inventory logic, and target uniqueness. Produce an exception report and wait for confirmation before changing source data.
